For most of us, the first thing we do in the morning, after getting out of bed, is to go straight to the bathroom to have a shower or wash our face. This ritual seems innocent and natural, but do you know how much plastic is involved in this simple act?
In our last blog post, we talked about World Ocean Day and how brands are trying to make a change using recycled materials to reduce the plastic amount in our oceans. Unfortunately, the beauty industry is a major contributor to this problem too. Every year 120 billions units of packaging are produced by the beauty industry, and only 9% of all plastic waste is being recycled. Sadly the norm is to pack beauty products in plastic, but we can change that!
In Saatxa, we promote eco-friendly beauty products, that you can easily add to your skincare and bodycare routine.
From scented bar soaps to radiance oil, Haoma offers natural and handmade products that come with eco-friendly packaging. To fight plastic consumption they use violet coloured Miron glass, utilising the science of Biophotonics with selective UV filtration.

They use paper and cardboard from sustainable forests, water-based inks and vegan adhesives.
This brand puts special attention on the origin of their products and their sophisticated formula, to get beautiful ingredients such as “organic fig extract”. They also use eco-friendly containers made in the Netherlands which are crystal violet and give extra protection to the formula.
